Choose a Cake ... If You Can!
Congratulations on your engagement! When planning your wedding, why not make your cake a memorable one? If you're having a traditional June ceremony, you'll want your bridesmaids' gowns and flowers to incorporate soft pastels or vibrant summer hues. The decorations on your wedding cake should be color-compatible, and also express elements of your personal style.
Weddings planned for other seasons of the year offer the opportunity for lots of creativity. For example, harvest colors and deep jewel tones are really beautiful in the autumn. Red and white are the natural starting point for Christmas weddings. And if your "destination wedding" will be in the tropics, consider incorporating blues or neutral beach tones.
If you see a wedding cake you like below, print out the image and take it to a professional bakery for a quote. Or, ask a special "foodie" friend if she can bake your cake for less.
